Editorial team and review process
The easiest mistake in mahjong writing is to treat “I have seen this” as “the rule says so”. We separate experience, rules and examples with a process you can check.
Who writes
The Mahjong Study Club editorial team maintains the site. Writers and editors play riichi and regional mahjong. For specific rules we prefer tournament rules, platform rules or reproducible hands; personal habits are not presented as universal law.
How we check
Every tutorial goes through three steps: the writer supplies sources and example hands, an editor checks rules and numbers, and a pre-publication pass checks links, terminology and language versions. Unverified claims are marked as open questions, not stated as fact.
AI policy
AI can help find candidates, check terminology and proofread a draft. It cannot replace rule checks or hand verification. AI-assisted text is reviewed line by line by an editor; the named team remains responsible for errors.
Corrections and contact
Email support@majiangjiaoxue.com with the page URL, the passage and your source. We correct verified errors, update the page date, and explain material rule corrections separately.
Independence
The site earns from courses and training tools. We do not sell rankings to mahjong platforms or gambling sites. Editorial content and commercial partnerships are labelled separately.
